Spurs point guard Tony Parker will team up with his personal chef on a food truck entitled Crème de la Crème. That is the most Tony Parker food truck name there ever was.
For those who don't know, Parker is from France and has been the point guard for the Spurs during their current dynasty, playing alongside Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.
The fancy food truck will be very upscale. Crème de la Crème's offerings reportedly will include salade chèvre chaud, steak frites, escalope de veau, and escalope de saumon.
Unfortunately, this fancy truck will stick around the San Antonio area, so no French delicacies for people like me who live in the Northeast. I give Parker a lot of credit for further pushing the envelope for athlete investments. Athletes already have their own lines of alcohol, own restaurants, clothing lines, do way too many ads on TV, etc. This is a new and refreshing way for players to make money off the court.
Added bonus for us normal people, it sounds like food truck food will need to step up its game if trucks like Parker's become the norm. Hopefully that means food trucks will have to taste good enough to eat while sober.
Parker's food truck debuts March 18th at 3pm. We We!
