As you probably know from previous blog posts (if you have read any), I was born and raised in NH. Most of my family still lives in that great state and if something is happening I usually know a little bit about it.
So, some of the talk this past weekend when I was back in NH for Easter was this water problem in Merrimack. Some PFOA has made its way into the waters. The stuff can be found in Teflon on non-stick cooking pans. For all of the science crap, listen to this guy with the sweet beard from the Nashua Telegraph.
According to him, there is no way to remove this stuff from the waters or from someones bloodstream.......let the plastic run wild!
I couldn't help but think about the helpless Merrimack residents just being bombarded with plastic from every direction.
When I was getting ready to leave for my trek back to CT yesterday, I was looking for a water bottle for the road. My Nana, who lives in Merrimack, was quick to offer up a few bottles from her car. A big sacrifice for her considering she was probably going to use them to shower last night.
