Cnet.com posted an article about the future of clothing which is apparently some sort of creepy augmented reality.
Pictured above is the Virtuali-Tee, an augmented-reality t-shirt that is being funded on Kickstarter as we speak. The project has raised just shy of $35,000 dollars at the time of this post. This is a neat idea, you will have to head over to Kickstarter (link in line above) to see how it works, I was an English major and I'm speechless to this level of science. Users will have the ability to tap on selected areas (the heart, the digestive system, etc.) to go further inside and learn more about the body.
I personally would prefer to keep my insides a secret. They are kind of like my "untouchables" if you will. Nobody needs to see them, unless I need them attended to for medical reasons.
Future products like this freak me out a little. I'm impressed it's possible while at the same time I have no idea why anyone would ever need this.
Augmented means "having been made greater in size or value," according to the interweb. I have no interest in my bones or organs being made bigger or more visible. This is why we have video games like Mortal Combat. (below)
